I am from Akron and saw a Nissan Murano I was interested in on their website. When I got there someone was in the process of buying it, I left but went back to see if there was any other Nissan Muranos there, I went to Waikem Ford and there I met John Knox who got me into the SUV I always wanted. Mr. Knox was very kind and did everything possible to make sure I got the SUV I wanted, he did not pressure us whatsoever. The only time I was able to go finish the paperwork was on his day off and he was kind enough to come in and make sure everything went smoothly, made sure the car was cleaned and gassed up for me to take it home. Me and my family were very pleased with the overall treatment we received from all the employees at Waikem. We will definitely go back to Waikem to buy another car and will refer our family and friends to John Knox and Waikem.
We came here because they were our local Nissan dealer. Our sales process went very well I hate buying a car but Dustin McVicker did a great job on making it a great experience! I was shocked that when my Altima came back from clean up that there was a scratch on the hood! I saw it and was not sure if I wanted to point it out, but I did not have to worry Dustin saw it pointed it out said he was sorry and said he would be right back he was going to buff it out. My wife & i , decided to purchase a new car. We used the Consumer Reports, Build & Buy program, in which Waikem Ford was one of the participants. I received a call from Jae Harig, a sales represenative with Waikem on Sept. 5, 2012. And hhe wanted us to come from Akron down to Massillon to see a Ford Fusion. I decided that i would, and upon our arrival, Joe was standing at the door and a Ford Fusion was waiting there for my test drive. Joe was great to work with, as was Ed and Lou. They made this one of my best car purchases ever. We love our new Fusion.

Shopping for a new car as a single mother can be intimidating. So I was pleasantly surprised at how I was treated from the moment I arrived. The salesman, Gary Grant never seemed like he was selling me anything. He was helping to find the perfect car for my needs and then he covered all options like buying new or used and even leasing a brand new car. He never pushed me one way or the other, just made me aware of the choices that I had. I just purchased a new 2012 Honda Odyssey at Waikem Honda in Massillon, Ohio. The sales consultant Eric Biggie was excellent and very helpful during this process. The deal was closed on a Friday but due to previous scheduled appointments I could not pick up my new van until the Monday after. He was able to answer all our questions to our satisfaction. He never pressured us and we are very pleased with the car we bought. My wife and I went to the dealership, not knowing exactly what we wanted. We explained what kind of things we were looking for in a car, and Jarod took it from there. Waikem Auto Family is hands down the BEST choice. My wife and I went car shopping to alot of used car lots and also downtown ford, mullimax, and progressive. I contacted Waikem through their website and got in touch with Craig Waikem. I was delt with as if I was in the store looking. Craig was able to set up an appointment with me and show me the cars that I wanted to see, not cars they think I wanted to see like the other car lots did. He worked around my schedule not his! My daughter and I had been car shopping most of the morning in the Canton area. We stopped at Waikem Hyundai about 1:00 p.m. and it didn't take long to see that this is a car buyer's dealership. Friendly and not intrusive, as most (all) other dealers in our opinon were. After a test drive we decided to see what they would offer. In a very short time we came to an agreeable offer. By 3:00 p.m. we were out the door with my daughter's new car and very happy about the whole process. I leased a 2012 Civic, most enjoyable car experience I've had. Everyone is friendly, but you can't forget they are a business that revolves around making money. I wish though they had power outlets in their customer center to plug my laptop in, while I get my car serviced. The only complaint I have, is the paint on my car chips easily, but that's not Wakiems fault.

We utlized Waikem's Internet Pricing system which streamlined the entire buying process. We received a quotation for the car we wanted, traded a couple of emails, scheduled an appointment with the sales manager and made arrangements to fill out the paperwork and drove our new car home that evening. I had a maximum out-the-door amount to spend. Jarod searched all of Waikem's dealership inventory and drove me to each lot to check-out every car in my price range. The best choice for me was over my maximum, but the manager (Matt) worked with me on the price (cash, no trade-in). I bought my car for exactly the maximum I wanted to pay. Their title and service people are super friendly and even joked with me about being a Steelers fan (ya know, the six-time Super Bowl Champions) in Browns territory. I would definitely recommend this dealership and will return to them when my wife needs another vehicle.

I came in to see Waikem Nissan about getting a new nissan altima. I was a little nervous, infact I had delayed coming in see one for several weeks. Last summer I purchased a Ford Fusion from The Waikem Auto Family. It was one of the best experiences I ever had! I worked with the General Sales Manager, Shab Tadayon. He was amazing! We were able to find a vehicle that I loved and do all of the paper work in a short amount of time, it was perfect! I was a little nervous being a young female going into a dealership by myself. Shab explained everything to me and made sure I was comfortable with the purchase before sending me to his finance department. There I worked with Lou Marino, he did everything possible to put me at a payment I was comfortable with. I've never had better service than what I received from Adam at waikems service department. i showed up late on a saturday with grinding brakes, and they got to work right away. Knowing they probably wouldn't finish on saturday, Adam lent me out a Sonata for the weekend and assured me my car would be done by my lunch break come monday. Sure enough they finished my car by the time i stopped by, and at a very generous price, and even included and oil change coupon for my next visit. Coupons are great but the customer service is the reason why i'll be coming back!

Last year I bought a new 2011 Kia Soul from Craig Waikem and Jon Watson. I absolutely fell in love with it but after a few months had a few service problems. The radio would not work (XM/SIRI) and the vehicle was off alignment. After Waikem Kia got the approval from Kia to replace the radio and install new tires, the car has been great! Thank you so much Craig and Jon.
While I have never purchased a car from the Waikem dealerships I have had my car serviced by them. Subsequently I have assisted a couple of friends in purchasing new cars there. The manner in which the entire dealership interact with customers is amazing, a rare situation today. Going to a dealership is like going to the dentist, usually uncomfortable and painful, that is not the case with these guys. The most impressive thing, no matter which dealership you are at, is the access to one of the owners, Doug Waikem. His willingness to be available to any customer is amazing. I highly recommend this company, such a pleasure to do business with them.

Before we went to Waikem Subaru we had done a lot of research and talked to many dealers in our area about purchasing a Subaru. Since we were purchasing for me I decided on the Forester while my husband had the more difficult role of making the deal - one which is not particularly fun to do. Not a single dealer in our area seemed as honest or were as easy to talk with than these gentlemen at Waikem - and my husband talked with all of them. Most are just plain impossible to deal with. This is why we ended up purchasing our Subaru from Waikem which is more than an hour from where we live. Both Bob Russell and Rick Spieth seemed down to earth, knowledgeable, never pushy and were very thorough. They made the whole buying process extremely easy. Both my husband and I felt very comfortable with them and would recommend this dealership to anyone. Love my new Subaru!

I was recently in the market for a new vehicle and did not know exactly which way to go. I had narrowed it down to the cr-v or the ford edge. He told me every thing I needed to know and even told me he could show me the ford edge. We test drove both vehicles and compared them side by side. Hello, I have bought 4 Subaru' s from Waikem Subaru (2007 Impreza Wagon, 2010 Outback Limited, 2010 Outback Sport and a 2012 Forester Touring). I like all the people I work with including the guys in the service department. 3 of my Subaru's I have bought from Rick Spieth. He is always very respectful, always greets me by name and takes whatever time I need when looking at a car. He is never pushing and is easy going. The reason I deal with Waikem is because I am allowed to take my time and test drive any car I want. Rick allows me to decide what I want and then makes sure I get it. I consider my dealings with them to be fair, including my price. If you are looking for a Subaru check them out. Well worth the time. Plus many of the guys own Subaru's as well.

I just purchased my first Subaru - and I doubt it will be my last. I love it! Rick Spieth, my salesman, was so helpful in informing my husband and I about the Forester and Outback. He arranged for us to test drive both vehicles, and even offered to have a Honda CR-V on the lot, if I wanted to compare. By the time we were done test driving, my husband and I both decided test driving the Honda would not be necessary. It was just a matter of deciding Forester or Outback. After leaving the dealership that day, I did a lot of research which solidified my choice to go with a Subaru. After Christmas, my sons and I returned to again test drive both models. In the end I decided to go with the Outback. Rick is a great salesman. Very professional and he was not high pressure (which I liked). He obviously knows a lot about Subarus. I truly appreciated his efforts in finding just the car I wanted: a Ruby Red Outback premium with All weather package (I love those heated seats!). When I took delivery of the car, Rick spent a lot of time going over every detail, knob, and button so I would feel comfortable operating the car before I left the dealership. I appreciated the excellent customer service and respect that was given to me by Rick and others at the dealership during this car buying experience. I already have told many friends and family members of my positive experience at Waikem Subaru and particularly with Rick Spieth.

I bought my car at Waikem about 8 months ago, and the transmission went out on me only a few days prior to Christmas. Doug Waikem secured me with a rental car and ensured a fast repair for the right price. He pulled through even when the holidays were at its most hectic time! I purchased a Grand AM GT Thursday, Dec. 15. I just wanted to say that Lee Grewell, went above and beyond to help me during one of the worse weeks I've had in a very long time. He was a night in shinning armor. Besides simply finding the perfect car, even with my nit picking "wants" (I didn't like the light color interiors that I test drove - I decided I wanted darker interior). . . He was wonderful kind, encouraging, and answered all my "girly" questions about the what nots of the car. What he really did that was wonderful, my current car had been in the garage (thus the reason for looking for a new car). I picked my old car up, made it two blocks (New Philadelphia) and it stalled again. I had been using a rental car. Lee allowed me to have my car towed to Waikem, then he met me at the car rental in New Philly, and drove me to my new car. He was my hero, when all I wanted to do was cry. I went Waikem Kia to go look at purchasing a new vehicle. I had heard so many great things about the KIA that I wanted to start there. I worked with Kent who was very genuine and patient! I had my kids with me. He was very good with them, and went out of his way to include them so they wouldn't get bored(He even had crayons for them to color with while we wrapped up the paperwork). It was such a great experience that I have sent my friends and family in to see him as well.
I had some difficulties with the Santa Fe I purchased from another Dealer and problens with the Dealer as well. When Hyundai asked me to choose a dealer to work with going forward, I chose Waikem. Although they had a problem not of their making thrown in their lap, both Don and Matt's tireless efforts to help me resolve the issue were a credit to both the dealership and the Hyundai Company. My new Santa Fe was delivered to me yesterday evening. Instead of handing me the keys and thanking me for my business, which would have echoed the treatment I received at the previous dealership, Matt Edmunds insisted on taking me through a complete walkthrrough of the vehicle inclding fluid check and fill locations. When the radio wouldn't synch up to my cell phone contacts, a situation the previous dealer shrugged their shoulders and apologized for, Matt again insisted that I let Robbie (apparently the Waikem electronics guru) take a look at it: It took Robbie all of 40 seconds to find the right setting and correct the issue. In short, everyone at Waikem treated me like a valued customer in spite of all the extra headache, paperwork and hassle required to resolve my issues. We just purchased a Pontiac for our daughter as a Christmas present, and the experience with Doug at their wholesale lot was a great experience! The wait to see the business manager was a bit disturbing as he kept us waiting for quite awhile and it appeared that he wasn't even busy. When we were finally called in, we felt rushed and he was a bit rude. My husband and I put up with it though because of Doug and the great deal he gave us. We will still purchase again from the dealership though, and we still highly recommend Doug and Waikem Motors.

I bought my 2012 Kia from Isaac Wright. What a pleasure to work with. My first visit I just wanted to see how far the doors would open to accomodate my handicapped mother. Isaac said okay,opened the doors so I could see. Asked if I could bring my mom over to see if she could get in okay...no problem. Never hard pressure to buy and after my third visit I decided to talked about buying and still no pressure. Isaac went out of his way to accomodate my needs the day I picked up my van. Cannot say enough good things. I have never received this treatment before and this is my 8th vehicle. Will continue to recommend the dealership and Isaac.

Stopped in late on a Thursday evening and met Lee Grewell. While I didn't have time that evening for test drives, we discussed the features I was looking for and set up to come back on Saturday morning. Lee really must have paid attention to my interests, and on Saturday morning took me directly to a number of vehicles that met my requirements. I ended up buying a Mitsubishi Outlander which I drove home that same day. I would highly recommend Lee to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle. It's also great that you can look at a number of manufacturers products without driving all over northeast Ohio.

We purchased a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport from Lee at Waikem & we love it. It's a great size, not an SUV that's too big, but has enough room for our needs. The process was great, we stopped in then went and compared some other models and came back on a Monday night and were able to drive home in our new vehicle. Lee gave us a thorough explanation of everything and we were left happy.

Wow what a great car buying experience. There was little to no pressure and no games of make a offer and "let me talk to my manager". None of that well "what are you looking for in a payment" and no two hour negotiating. I would have to say that Jorge Art and Carl made this a great experience. My salesman was very friendly and willing to help. I was undecided about a vehicle at first but found an Altima that fit my style and expectations. My first time leasing and they made the process easy. My experience was ok, nothing over the top. I received good, local service.
So I was told to go and test drive a Subaru by my boyfriend. The previous week I went to test drive a Nissan I was not impressed with the service nor the car. The next day I went to Waikem Subaru and Pat B approached me asked me every single detail or what I was looking for that day! Not only did he show me multiple Foresters but he set me up with the one that he felt most would fit my needs. He welcomed me inside their building so he could retreive the vehicle to take a look! I WAS SOOO IMPRESSED!!!! Pat showed me every detail of the car including spare tire, oil filter, how every single window, door, and mirror worked! That was before even taking the test drive. While on the test drive I could tell he was very confident witht he car because he took me on a test drive which included school zones, back roads, main streets and the highway to show me how well the car could accelerate! Before taking me back to the lot he took me to a school and had me do 360 turns to show me the turning radius! That was a huge plus, I thought it was a crazy idea but I was thankful he took the time to let me do that and back into a parking spot so I could check for any blind spots! While returning to the dealership I was introduced to the sales manager Bob Russell, who also asked if I had any questions (Nissan did none of these) I felt so much at home and comfortable that I am pretty sure Pat and I got off topic sometimes with the chit-chat! I am glad that I could feel at home. After leaving for a couple hours thinking about the offer I was made on the vehicle, I returned with my father and Pat yet again showed my dad every nook, Which I was glad to see the consistency! At that moment I gave Pat my decision of making my first Subaru purchase! Pat, Bob and the financial group had me set up and ready to go in a fairly quick manner even though they were extremely busy and that I was back within 5 hours with a quick decision! Upon leaving Pat went through anything and everything else dealing with my new Subaru Forester making sure I was fully comfortable before leaving which included syncing my phone to the bluetooth!(I would have not figured it out otherwise). Since then Pat has checked up on me to see how I am doing with my car and if there is anything else I needed help with or questions! Therefore, I have mentioned Waikem Subaru to many of my clients which have included Pat's name as a referral since I have never felt so welcomed into a company as I had felt during the purchase of my car! Thank you again Pat and Bob for making my purchase possible and am so glad that I chose Subaru and the Staff and Waikem!

The selection of vehicles and franchises at the Waikem Auto Family makes shopping for a new or used car convenient. For me, the Tucson was the perfect choice. Over the course of the last year I have had 5 service visits to Both Ford and Hyundai service departments requiring substantial repairs. I am not mechanically inclined and they took the time to explain everything and only fixed what needed to be fixed. The repairs were excellent and the customer service was absolutley awesome. I even got a call from one of the owners, Doug Waikem thanking me for my business and asking if everything went well. Awesome place!
At my young age of 58 years, I have purchased quite a few cars....so far. I am somewhat new to the internet and realize that it is the future. So, at the urging of my son, I started shopping for my next car on the net. Waikem stood out from all others in just about every area in the process. Marissa was my net contact, and I was quite surprised how knowledgable she was. We worked out the pricing before I ever got to the dealer. When I arrived at the dealer, the car I was interedted in was sitting in front of the shaowroom. From that point until I left with my new Forester, they made me feel special. Not something I have ever had happen. Rick, my salesman, and Bob, the manager, went out of their way to make me feel that I was the most important thing they were doing. They knew what car I wanted, knew what price I had been given and knew some things about me. A pretty class act. If there Service Dept. can follow in their footsteps, I will never go anywhere else for a vehicle.
My experience at Waikem Mitsubishi was extremely enjoyable. Something I thought I would never say about purchasing a car. From the time I walked into the dealership until I left with my car, it was pleasant, comfortable, nonpressuring and fun. I would highly recommend them to anyone and I have to all my friends. Been doing business with Waikem since the 1960's when they were just George Waikem Ford. My last purchase was from the Subaru dealership. Rick Spieth was the salesman and he could not have been more accommodating. They had to drive over 500 miles to get the exact car I wanted. Great experience! The service department is great. I'll buy ever car I own from the Waikem Auto Family. I had a lot of problems buying my first car because I didn't have a lot of money. While other dealers lied to me and treated me like I wasn't worthy of being in their shop, but the salesmen at Waikem worked very hard with me and treated me like a human being. I left the lot that morning with a Chevy Cobalt thanks to the helpful and professional staff at the Waikem Auto Family. My family purchased all its vehicles from Waikem and I will also be a lifelong customer. AWESOME!

Waikem did an excellent job fixing my 2008 Honda Civic. I was involved in a rear end collision. Waikem did all of the body work and paint work. The car was finished ahead of schedule. All of the paint and body work looked amazing and my car was returned to me detailed in and out free if charge. It felt really good to drive away in my car because it looked brand new. On my recent visit I was qouted and agreed to a price before the work started, but when I received the bill it was considerably less. The Service Manager told me that once the technician got into the job he found a way to do what was needed and save me money. It's such a good feeling to know that there are still honest people in the world. My family has dealt with Waikem Nissan, Honda and Ford several times over the years. We have always had a wonderful, low stress experience with each store. Craig recenlty even helped us out at their wholesale lot as we needed a vehicle for my girlfriend's daughter. She had a finite amount to spend and Criag set us up with Doug at the wholesale lot. Once again, the Waikem family came through! We will always go to the Waikem Group for our automotive needs!
Waikem is a great dealership - I graduated from college in May 2010 and needed a new vehicle. I went to Waikem Hyundai and purchased by first car - a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. I worked with Dustin at the Waikem Nissan dealership last month and got into a new Nissan Maxima. He was very knowledgeable and easy going. It was the first time that I got a car from the dealership and he made the experience a great one! The entire staff was friendly through the entire process and I feel good about my decision. I shopped at several dealerships in the area, and they were the best. They earned a repeat customer, as I will be working with them next time around.
I have a 2006 Impreza that I purchased from this dealership. I have been extremely happy with the car and the service here. Dan Dager the service manager always gets me in and out in a timely manner. They always keep me informed on any service my car may need. They are also open on Saturdays and that helps with my busy schedule. I live in Massillon but travel to Lake Co.(heart of the snow belt) every weekend. I know my Subaru will get me there safely and I can depend on it. I would recommend a Subaru and this dealership to anyone. Love my Subie!

I was having a difficult time finding a suitable used car that fit my budget. Mark suggested leasing as an alternative because it worked for the budget I set. Bob, the manager, was nice enough to show me a few different scenarios. They were not pushy and allowed me time to go home and do research about leasing. I am now driving my new Subaru Impreza and cant wait to try it out in the snow! I will come here again for my next Subaru for certain.
My husband and I delt with a Salesman Tony at waikem hyundai, he was honest and loyal to us and had a great deal of knowledge in all aspects of cars. He got us in the car we wanted and did all he could to please us, we will definatly be back to buy our cars from him again. Last summer we took part in the Cash for Clunkers government program. That was extremely confusing, but Waikem Ford made it easy. We got a brand new Ford Focus with the factory rebates and the Gov't bonus. On top of that they gave us $2000 for our car when it was really worth $500.00 LOL The manager was Ed and he is very tall, hard to miss. THX GUYS hope you had another great summer!

Thanks to the sales staff out at Waikem for helping me purchase my new F150, the new trucks are amazing and I was treated very well, I feel like I got an amazing deal. Everthing was very realaxed and free of pressure, Craig N was a very knowledgable salesman. His only flaw is that he is a steelers fan, but I can live with that considering the great service. Also the financing options were great and better than any I found on my own. Thanks for everything I will definately buy here again
We bought our second subaru at waikem. subaru's are my favorite vehicle right now. they all have all wheel drive and its standard. waikem didn't do anything crazy good, but it was a smooth transaction. they all knew the product. the store is small but i guess that is a good thing. they are open late and saturday too. they r closed on sunday, so go then if you dont want to talk to salesman.
Matt and Duece at the Waikem Nissan dealership gave me a great buying experience when I came in to purchase my Nissan Altima. From the test drive to signing the final papers they always knew the answers to my questions and made me feel comfortable. Truly Outstanding! I have purchased numerous cars and trucks in my life but I have never experienced what happened when I bought my last one. I was in a bad situation when I went to Waikem, I had bought my last car off another dealer, hated the car and now I owed way more than what it was worth. The guys at Waikem sat down with me, asked what was most important to me in my next car then gave me some suggestions as the best way to go. After looking at several different makes and models, all with the same salesman Charlie, I settled on a new Mitsubishi Galant. Charlie and his manager explained everything they were doing the entire time, shopped my car around to get me the most then explained we would use the rebate and the discount from them to pay off the balance. Finally a dealer that talked to me, honestly! I knew I was buried and they never tried to hide anything the whole time. Anyhow I LOVE my Galant, what a car and thank you Waikem's.
My lease was a month from ending and I was not sure what I had to do when I recieved a call from Craig Waikem. He spent much time going over my opitions on what I could do with my lease vehicle. He explained I could keep my car and buy out the lease for the guaranteed lease end value, I could sell my car and keep any money over the guaranteed lease end value, I could trade the car in if it had equity or I could just turn it back to Honda and walk away, with a brand new Honda of course. It was so easy I don't know why everyone doesn't lease.
Thanks Craig, I will be back in three years for my next new Honda!
Let me start off by saying, the entire car buying experience at Waikem Auto Family was made so easy and enjoyable by the friendly staff I dealt with. They really listened to what I had to say and truly helped me find the car that was perfect for me. From gas mileage to cargo room to the cars safety. They went out of their way to put me behind the wheel of a car I wanted to drive. The financing department worked diligently to get me payments that worked for me. It would be difficult to ever imagine me purchasing a car elsewhere.Thanks for the great service! I was sorry to read the poor and inaccurate reviews written below. People need to man up and understand how the credit system works. Obviously these people do not (which is probably how they got into these kinds of situations in the first place) But their reviews completely lack merit.

Been Doing Business with them for 30 years!! I have purchases/leased Nissans, Hondas and Hyundais along with some of my other family members and have always been treated with the greatest respect. Even had 2 cars repaired after accidents and got the same friendly service. I enjoy purchasing from them and will be back in the early spring for my next car!!

What a great experience!! From the ease of scheduling my appointment right from their website to how nice Dan Dager handled things. Also, I enjoyed waiting for the car in the waiting area and watching the Masters Golf with the sales crew. Great coffee, and they had snacks too! They brought me out to the service bay to explain what needed to be repaired. Finally I have found a service organization that I can trust!!! Great job!!! As Arnold would say in the movies, "I'll be back".

I went to Waikem Honda in Massillon, OH while I was still comparing different cars that I was looking at. The salesperson I worked with was John Olihan. Took a test drive in a sport manual - John was easy to talk with, knowledgeable, and not pushy.
Went back later to put down a deposit and dealer locate. It was a great experience - straightforward on the price of the Fit, and a good deal on my trade.
I knew that Fits were difficult to find so I expected a bit of a wait. John and I stayed in touch over the next few weeks. He gave me updates when I asked, and worked diligently to find one. I had my own financing, and the folks at Waikem worked with them without a hitch. Less than a month later I drove home my new Honda Fit. Very satisfied with the car and the dealer.
